STUPID DAD AND SON

Yesterday a 15 year old was admitted with fracture of his femur following a motorcycle accident. When I asked him whether he has a driving license the dad (who sounded irritated) told me that he was just riding in the neighborhood.... Uh duh... Stupid dad. Doesn't he know that a lot of accidents involving youngsters and motorbikes are in the housing estate.

He was lucky he only had a broken femur, things could be worse... head injury, cervical fractures, abdominal injuries all which can be fatal. And to fracture a femur a huge force is required... I wonder what was the speed at impact? At least 80km an hour... hmmm ... housing estate?

I was trying to goggle the info on motorvehicle accidents in housing estates in Malaysia but no avail... Maybe some one should pull out the data on this and show these moronic parents!!! They should shoulder the responsibility on a parents. I am all for punishing the parents (or owner of the vehicle) if a child or youngster is caught without a valid driving license.

Kids think it's child's play but one has to forgive them, they do not know and have not seen the dangers of motorcycles . It is the adults who have to guide and direct them.

I am sure in a year or two this kid is going to be admitted again for some other fracture. Then he is going to say the same thing... "It wasn't my fault", that is, if he is alive!

My photos during the trip are lousy but at least I got a clear short of the seekmepeahorse... as wanie mistakenly called it... But the diving was wonderful.... heaven!!!

Sunday by this time we will be in Kuta... Saliha, Wanie, Amir, Kaz and me.... never dreamt I'll go to Bali to dive... but with Airasia anyone can fly.... It will be Amir's maiden voyage to lands beyond the Malaysian border.

This may also be our last trip with Saliha before she leaves for Aberdeen... ahhhh...

Hope that we'll se mantas and sunfish... Yanie emailed Kaz and Saliha that the currents are strong. Already packed my safety sausage and finally getting a reef hook... I am all set.

After so much fuss, my darling sister got hitched on 7th July. My sis is 29, much younger than me. I am happy for her as her husband appears to be a down to earth person. Congratulations dear.

Petty theft..is there such a thing?

A few kids went and trample on my garden to steal the rambutan... they were so arrogant that they refuse to budge when I told them off... only left when I threatened them...

These are kids 10-12 years... There must be something wrong...as these kids think that my tree is their property... Don't mind if they ask but stealing???

Goodbye Danko (part 2)

Goodbye Danko

This morning my brother sms'ed me. "Happy birthday, btw Danko is dead"

Danko is our cat... actually Marina was the one who adopted her but it became our cat. We named her Danko after sargeant Danko of the Dirty Dozen (my favorite show back then) and her sibling was named Hitler as she had a small 'mustache' that looked like the dictator... Anyway, Hitler died as a kitty and Danko lived to be 18 years.

She was my companion when I used to stay up late to study for SRP, SPM and STPM.... and she used to sit on my books when she thought I had studied enough...

Mom said she died in the house... as all cats, she tried to get out to die alone but my mother won't let her.... so I'm glad she did not die alone.

Sad as I am.... but she has been a good cat... Know you'll reach cat heaven. Love you, Danks.

What the F@#%?

Two people I know are feeling absolutely down this week. Their emotions were determined by actions of others, their loved ones. Both expressed to me their intentions of not living anymore... I am truly aghast, sad.... for both are strong persons who have lived life to the fullest and who have very strong personalites.

I am truly sad.....

I now choose not to ever let anyone be a factor in my happiness... It's only me and myself.

It has been great

Birthday Wish (part One)

Well, it's the eve of my birthday and I'm sitting ere watching cartoons....

I wish:
1. I'll get a new wallet...as my wallet fell into the toilet at MIDE on Sunday
2. I have enough cash to go diving every month (better every week) for the rest of my life
3. Some angel would give me a free diving trip
4. I can work in a place near an awesome dive sites
5. My friends are happy and will forever be happy
6. I can wake up every morning in the arms of someone who loves me (dream on...)
7. I'll get to meet more great friends in this life time
8. I can eat like a pig and be so slim that i don't have to buy a new wetsuit
9. I can buy a new car and still have money to dive (see wishlist no 2)
10. Take great underwater photos although I suck at topside photos
